GH FLORA BLOOM

General Hydroponics FloraBloom provides minerals for the reproductive growth stage to support flowering, fruiting, and seed production.

Flora Bloom by General Hydroponics is part of FloraSeries, the O.G. 3-Part Hydroponic-Based Nutrient System. Our scientists were hard at work more than 40 years ago, while the other guys were still in elementary school, with a mission: to provide growers with a consistent and exact means to feed their plants through every growth phase.

The initial three-part hydroponic fertilizer system, FloraSeries, which consists of GH FloraGro, GH FloraBloom, and GH FloraMicro, was created in 1976.

ABOUT GENERAL HYDROPONICS

“We believe in the underdogs. The rebels. The nonconformists. Because that’s exactly how we got our start.“

We’re not about hard-selling you mediocre products packaged in shiny new boxes that overpromise and underperform. We don’t focus on what’s on the bottle, but on what’s in it: the highest quality, most advanced formulations to give your plants exactly what they need to grow, flourish and thrive. Products that deliver a successful harvest consistently and reliably. Simply put, it’s all performance, with none of the hype. The same way it’s been since our original formula, and the same way we continue to innovate and push the limits of what’s possible with hydroponics.

Whether you’re new to the game or grow out of a warehouse; whether you’re a licensed producer or multi-state operator, our mission is simple but powerful: to share our legacy of trusted products, knowledge, and success to help you get a killer grow each and every time. Because at General Hydroponics, we believe there’s plenty of space for all of us to grow to big new heights. And to do it together.

ABOUT PLANT NUTRIENTS

All plants need three primary base nutrients on a regular basis throughout their life cycle: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). These three macro-nutrients are usually displayed on the packaging of plant nutrients as NPK ratio.

Nitrogen (N) - Nitrogen is very mobile in the soil, and nitrogen in the form of nitrate has a tendency to leach away from the root zone. Nitrogen can also be lost to the atmosphere. Certain fertilizers, particularly urea, are easily converted to volatile forms of nitrogen if they are watered or incorporated into the soil after application. Soil testing for nitrogen is unreliable because it is so mobile in the soil. Timing of nitrogen fertilizer application should be crop-specific Excessive nitrates in drinking water are an environmental concern—another reason to maximize nitrogen utilization by plants and minimize excessive applications.

Phosphorus (P) - Phosphorus is essential in energy transformations in the plant. Without adequate phosphorus, carbohydrates manufactured in the leaves could not be transported to the flower or developing fruit, or stored in roots or bulbs. Phosphorus is usually associated with flowers, fruiting, and carbohydrate storage in roots, tubers, and bulbs.

Potassium (K) - Potassium is essential for photosynthesis, as regulation of cell turgidity, respiration, and water movement in the plant. It also controls the opening and closing of the plant’s stomata. Adequate potassium fertilization helps plants cope with drought stress, increases disease resistance, improves winter hardiness, and improves crop quality.
