Why are enzymes important?

Enzymes are organic compounds made by helpful bacteria that are frequently found in plant nutrition. Enzymes can be employed in the garden for good, but only if they are the right enzymes for the required chemical processes. Since every reaction requires a different enzyme, it is essential to have the appropriate enzymes available for the intended reactions. Enzymes are employed for a wide range of chemical processes, both within and outside of plants and their root systems, in addition to the uptake of nitrogen. Enzymes are utilized internally by plants for photosynthesis and other functions.

HYGROZYME ENZYME FORMULA DIRECTIONS:

Seedling Trays:
- 6ml should be added to a gallon of water to treat it before use.
- To achieve the desired moisture level, gently soak the medium.

Cuttings Media Preparation:
- In a solution of 6 ml per 4 liters (1 gallon) of water, soak rock wool cubes or plugs.
- Follow the regular procedure.

Hydroponics/ Soil/ Coco/ Rockwool/ Media:
- Should be used in conjunction with weekly feeding schedule-based nutrition change-out.
- For every 4 liters, add 8–10 ml.
- Use in a drip feed system or as a soak/cleanser.
- Continue to follow the regular feeding schedule and use it in conjunction with the regular routine.

Foliar Equipment Wash & Rinse Application:
- 4 to 6 ml per 4 liters (1 gallon) (Use RO or distilled water when using foliar spray equipment).
- Wash the tools both before and after use. Use once per week or as necessary to accommodate your feeding schedule.

Agricultural Enzymes - Enzymes for Plants and Root Health

Enzymes are proteins, made up of amino acids that act as catalysts – they facilitate, energize, and speed up biochemical reactions. In fact, the rate of reaction can be several million times faster than if left un-catalyzed! An extreme example is orotidine 5′-phosphate decarboxylase, which allows a reaction that would otherwise take millions of years to occur in milliseconds.
Since enzymes are specific in the reactions they catalyze, a diverse variety of enzymes must be present in the root zone to carry out all the different biochemical transformations required to break down the various components of the decaying plant material.

On that effect, only when the right type of enzyme finds the right substrate, does a biochemical reaction occur. This specific interaction between an enzyme and a substrate means you don’t have to worry about undesirable effects. For instance, when cellulase breaks down cellulose, that’s all that will happen. No other material or process will be altered or affected. That’s why it is important to have the right formula. ABOUT PLANT NUTRIENTS

All plants need three primary base nutrients on a regular basis throughout their life cycle: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). These three macro-nutrients are usually displayed on the packaging of plant nutrients as NPK ratio.

Nitrogen (N) - Nitrogen is very mobile in the soil, and nitrogen in the form of nitrate has a tendency to leach away from the root zone. Nitrogen can also be lost to the atmosphere. Certain fertilizers, particularly urea, are easily converted to volatile forms of nitrogen if watered or incorporated into the soil after application. Soil testing for nitrogen is unreliable because it is so mobile in the soil. Timing of nitrogen fertilizer application should be crop-specific Excessive nitrates in drinking water are an environmental concern—another reason to maximize nitrogen utilization by plants and minimize excessive applications.

Phosphorus (P) - Phosphorus is essential in energy transformations in the plant. Without adequate phosphorus, carbohydrates manufactured in the leaves could not be transported to the flower or developing fruit, or stored in roots or bulbs. Phosphorus is usually associated with flowers, fruiting, and carbohydrate storage in roots, tubers, and bulbs.

Potassium (K) - Potassium is essential for photosynthesis, as regulation of cell turgidity, respiration, and water movement in the plant. It also controls the opening and closing of the plant’s stomata. Adequate potassium fertilization helps plants cope with drought stress, increases disease resistance, improves winter hardiness, and improves crop quality.
